I absolutely loved this session. The concept of Ikibana was explained understandably, the explanation of how to producd a beautiful arrangement was easy to understand and follow, and our teacher was an absolute delight and very patient & encouraging. I look forward to signing up to February 2026 four week course.

The 4 week ikebana course at Studio Ma was incredible. Azumi is knowledgeable and encouraging and the studio atmosphere is inspiring. Working with such beautiful flowers each week while learning the art and philosophy of ikebana was a joy. By the end, I was creating arrangements I never thought possible for a complete beginner. Highly recommend to anyone curious about this beautiful practice.

I had such a wonderful time at the kokedama workshop! It was fun and surprisingly easy to follow even though I had no prior experience. Azumi was absolutely lovely — patient, encouraging, and so passionate about her craft that it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can really feel how much she loves what she does, and it shines through in the way she teaches. Highly recommend!

We had a private 2 hour ikebana workshop at By Azumi studio in South Yarra (7 people) it was perfect. The studio was a lovely space, the workshop was a nice blend of learning and doing - and Azumi was a great teacher and very accommodating. We have some great photos of the day and we got to take our ikebana (and vase) home. Felt like it was really fairly priced, and would absolutely recommend. There is also parking right in front of the studio which was convenient for us. Look forward to signing up for workshops in the future!

Azumi has a beautiful studio and runs a great class. She is knowledgeable, kind and attentive which makes this class a memorable and enriching experience. There’s a great mix of theory and practical work in this class. I highly recommend Azumi’s classes.

The 4 week Ikebana course was totally enjoyable and I was disappointed to be doing our last session this week. I have learnt so much from Azumi - she is incredibly knowledgable and brings a certain style and serenity to her classes, and towards guiding us to create some delightful floral art pieces. 11/10! Azumi is an excellent teacher - just the right combination of information, demonstration, guidance and letting you go for it. The small group size means you get plenty of one-on-one support. This workshop is a great introduction to to the art of ikebana. There was only time to scratch the surface, but it was amazing to see what we all created in such a short time, and it left me feeling excited and curious.

The Ikebana 4-week course by Azumi is a wonderfully healing experience. Each session blends creativity, relaxation, and fun, allowing participants to explore the Japanese art of floral arrangement in a calming environment. A beautiful peaceful class and a lovely introduction to the art of ikebana

I learned so-o-o much in just two hours’ time. #1. Away with symmetry! #2. Everyone has a creative gene and Ikabana helped me find mine. #3. I heard only encouraging words from the Ikabana Master. We all should practice this more. I will be recommending the Ikebana class to family and friends. It’s a diamond!

This beautiful exhibition provided a soothing oasis. We loved the variety of Ikebana installations. The venue itself seemed to "grow" the exhibits. What a refreshing event to attend. Thank you Azumi for sharing your, and your teams wonderful works.

The kokedama master class was easy to follow given Azumi san’s explanations and set up of materials. The background and examples mentioned by Azumi as to how kokedama came about were very interesting. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in bringing their own piece of nature indoors!

Azumi is a very knowledgeable, patient teacher. All materials we provided and we went home proud owners of a kokodama. As a pleasant surprise Azumi welcomed us, on a very hot day, with tea and water.

Excellent and super chill workshop. Instruction was clear and easy to follow, so I could create my own kokedama. Which looks awesome! I’m very happy and would attend another course by Azumi.

Azumi is an incredible teacher! She was patient and made us felt comfortable to explore our ideas and individual expression without constraints. I have had two lessons and each time found it mindful and relaxing . Would highly recommend and would do another lesson!
